One of my favorites this year. Strange vocal shifts; weird detritus rattling about in the walls and under the floorboards; textural and aural changes so slight, yet timed and calibrated to hit harder than expected. Sublimely tortured and vulnerable. Takes me to a strange and special place. A cast of haunted, passionate characters, waiting together in a room between worlds, sharing weird tales, before each leaves down their own path--never meeting again.
