alice Recorded during the same sessions as Dragging a Dead Deer, The Man Who Died in His Boat feels very similar to its sister album, just way more haunting. There’s something about the spacious drone and melancholy guitars on this album that separate it to not only Dead Deer, but Liz’s whole discography. It’s in no way, shape or form her most experimental, but with the emotions I get from it, it might as well be. Favorite track: Towers.
